create_role_membership

QuickSight.Client.create_role_membership(**kwargs)

Use CreateRoleMembership to add an existing Amazon QuickSight group to an existing role.

Request Syntax

response = client.create_role_membership(
    MemberName='string',
    AwsAccountId='string',
    Namespace='string',
    Role='ADMIN'|'AUTHOR'|'READER'
)

Parameters:

• MemberName (string) –

  [REQUIRED]

  The name of the group that you want to add to the role.

• AwsAccountId (string) –

  [REQUIRED]

  The ID for the Amazon Web Services account that you want to create a group in. The Amazon Web Services account ID that you provide must be the same Amazon Web Services account that contains your Amazon QuickSight account.

• Namespace (string) –

  [REQUIRED]

  The namespace that the role belongs to.

• Role (string) –

  [REQUIRED]

  The role that you want to add a group to.
