waiter = client.get_waiter('step_complete')

wait(**kwargs)

Polls EMR.Client.describe_step() every 30 seconds until a successful state is reached. An error is returned after 60 failed checks.

Request Syntax

waiter.wait(
    ClusterId='string',
    StepId='string',
    WaiterConfig={

        'MaxAttempts': 123
    }
)

Parameters:

• ClusterId (string) –

  [REQUIRED]

  The identifier of the cluster with steps to describe.

• StepId (string) –

  [REQUIRED]

  The identifier of the step to describe.

• WaiterConfig (dict) –

  A dictionary that provides parameters to control waiting behavior.

  • Delay (integer) –

    The amount of time in seconds to wait between attempts. Default: 30

  • MaxAttempts (integer) –

    The maximum number of attempts to be made. Default: 60
